About Us

M. David Gothard is President/Biostatistician at Biostats Inc. He has a variety of previous experience in academia and industry. He has senior level biostatistician experience working in Research Triangle Park, NC in the field of Phase I-IV drug development. He was a project leader of the team bringing Synagis® through the FDA approval process and ultimately to market. Dave worked at Akron Children’s Hospital as the sole biostatistician supporting resident, fellow, and faculty research and designing/teaching the fellows’ research core curriculum. He has also taught introductory and advanced statistics courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels for over a decade at the University of Kentucky and Ashland University.

Dave has a B.S. degree in mathematics (Spring 1993) from Vanderbilt University where he was a starter and letter winner on the cross country team. He also graduated from the University of Kentucky with an M.S. degree in statistics (Spring 1995).
